Summary
Pat’s political perspective clearly shows, though he holds views disparate from many persons, he limited his congressional activity to constitutionally authorized acts. Further, he proved himself not the Constitution pervert whom non-theists fear.
Swindall endured much heat from the Christian community over his position against mandated school prayer. A true theistic fanatic would have supported congressional mandates for school prayer and removal of the evolution theory of human origin from classrooms.
Though Swindall let no man spoil him through philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world and not according to [his] Christ, who is his head of all principality and power, he honored his sworn oath to "...pass no law respecting the establishment of his religion or prohibiting the [anyone’s] free exercise thereof...."
